James binura ang record ni Jordan
Dinakdakan ni LeBron James ng Cavaliers si Avery Bradley ng Celtics sa Game 5 ng kanilang NBA Eastern Conference Finals.
BOSTON -- Sinabi ni LeBron James na ang paghahabol niya sa mga karangalan ni Michael Jordan ay isang simpleng personal motivation.
Hindi ito para kilalanin siya bilang greatest player sa NBA.
Ito ang sinabi ni James sa morning shootaround bago labanan ng Cleveland Cavaliers ang Celtics sa Game 5 ng Eastern Conference finals.
Ayon kay James, hindi niya misyon na ungusan si Jordan sa paramihan ng NBA titles, points o MVP awards.
“It’s just my personal goal to keep me motivated, that’s all,” wika ni James. “You guys are gonna have the conversations about who’s the greatest of all time and things of that nature, it doesn’t matter to me.”
Idinagdag niyang ang usapin tungkol sa ‘greatness’ ay mas napag-uusapan sa NBA kesa sa ibang sports.
“It’s never talked about (in the) NFL, who’s the greatest quarterback. It’s just like (Dan) Marino, (John) Elway, (Peyton) Manning, (Tom) Brady - all great quarterbacks. It should be the same for us,” sabi ni James. “We go out and just try to be as great as we can be every night.
“The comparison of always trying to compare people, either living or still playing or not playing - I think it’s great for barbershops” dagdag pa nito.
