New Calabarzon cop chief assumes post

MANILA, Philippines - Chief Superintendent Mao Aplasca is the new director of the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police.

Aplasca replaced Chief Superintendent Valfrie Tabian, who retired on Friday after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 56.

Aplasca is the former chief of the Aviation Security Group.
