CEBU, Philippines - A homegrown property developer is keen on developing more projects in Cebu in the future.

In a recent interview, Khristina Pestaño, vice president for sales at Grand Land Inc., said the company eyes mixed-use office building projects in premier district areas in Cebu. She however stopped short of revealing further details.

Meanwhile, she announced the property firm is developing its serviced apartment project in the fourth tower of its ongoing 3.2-hectare Grand Residences condo development, which is composed of five towers.

The serviced apartment will occupy about 11 floors of the fourth tower and will have 163 units, she noted.

The developer is partnering with Asian hospitality firm Dusit International to manage the property which will bring the dusitD2 brand.

The Cebu developer first partnered with Dusit for its condo-hotel development in Cebu City, the Grand Tower, set to completed by 2019 and will bring the Dusit Princess brand.

Pestaño said that serviced apartment particularly caters to long-staying tourists in Cebu such as traveling businessmen and expatriates.

She said the serviced apartment market has a very big potential considering the growing number of tourists in Cebu.

Moreover, the official shared that the Gaisano-led developer is also set launch its first mixed-use development in Davao City early next year.

"This is the Amani Grand City Gate," Pestaño said, adding that this will come with hotels, BPO offices and retail spaces.

Grand Land is the property development arm of the Gaisano Grand Group, which also operates malls in Visayas and Mindanao. (FREEMAN)
