Soguilon, Mojdeh at Zamora bumandera sa pagsira ng record sa PSL National Series

MANILA, Philippines – Pinangunahan nina Kyla Soguilon ng Sun Yat Sen Kalibo, Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ng Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque at Sean Terence Zamora ng University of Santo Tomas ang mga record-breakers sa pagsisimula ng 95th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series - 9th Sen. Nikki Coseteng Swimming Championships kahapon sa Diliman College Swimming Pool sa Quezon City.

Winasak ni Soguilon sa mga rekord sa girls’ 11-year old 100m butterfly (1:11.35) at 200m Individual Medley (2:40.82), habang nagtala ng bagong marka si Mojdeh sa girls’ 100m IM (1:20.87) at 50m butterfly (33.95).

Gumawa ng bagong marka si Zamora sa boys’ 15-over 100m butterfly (57.42) at 200m IM (2:10.93) ng torneong suportado ng Diliman Preparatory School.

Nakisalo sa mga record-breakers sina Charize Ju­liana Esmero ng University of the Philippines Intergrated School (girls’ 13-year 200m IM, 2:37.23) at Carmenrose Matabuena ng University of the East (girls’ 15-over 200m IM, 2:30.25).

Umani ng gintong medalya sina Marc Bryan Dula ng Weisenheimer Academy (boys’ 50m but­terfly), Rio Lorenzo Malapitan ng Divine Word College-Calapan (boys’ 12-year 100m butterfly) at Ferdinand Ian Trinidad ng Pedro Guevara High School (boys’ 14-year 100m butterfly).

Ang iba pang gold medalists sa Class A-C ay sina An­gela Claire Torrico, Penelope Rago, Kyla Manague­lod, Isabel Baclig, Juliana Lirio, Kysha Altura, Eirik Ju­diel Rivera, Karl Pastoril, Gregg Marasigan, Richelle Callera, Raehanna Gargullo, Janelle Blanch, Master Jan­da, Czesk Valdez, Aldrin Montalban, Justin Badion, Trump Luistro Lee Grant Cabral, Luis Joaquin Ventura at Jose Corpuz.

Nakasiguro naman ng gintong medalya sa Motiva­tional Class sina Recs Agustin, Samantha Gualdad, Jenn Sermonia, Jaymi Tamayo, Zavastiane Buhain, Jas­per Benigla, Antonio Bautista, Jaden Valin, Elijah Re­yes, Yla Balagot, Tida Narciso, Noreen David, Bridelyn Gan­dol, Yvez Magpantay, Christian Bautista, Nathaniel Pa­gunuran, Dominic Ortiz, Raphael Isla, Anthony Tabuzo, Amytha Abarintos, Lord Janda, Gabriel Severa, Abbhy Ilagan, Julianna Villanueva, Mary Jude Ansula, Crisha Dimapilis at Francis Bautista.

“This is just the opening day and a lot of records have already broken. It’s a good venue for our young swimmers to showcase their talents as we are selecting swimmers for international tournaments,” pahayag ni PSL president Susan Papa.

Magsisilbing qualifying ang event para sa 2017 Summer World University Games na gaganapin sa New Taipei City, Taiwan gayundin sa SICC Invitational Swimming Championship at SCC National Midget Meet na parehong gaganapin sa Singapore, sa Tokyo Fall Classic Invitational Swimming Championship sa Japan at sa Royal Bangkok Swimming Championship sa Thailand.
