Cabbie surrenders P1-M shabu, cash

MANILA, Philippines -  A 50-year-old taxi driver surrendered to police on Monday P1 million worth of shabu reportedly left in his cab by drug suspects.

The cabbie, whose identity was withheld for security reasons, found a bag containing around 200 grams of shabu and P418,000 in cash, Quezon City Police District director Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar said.

Eleazar said the illegal drugs and cash were abandoned by Felicidad Colis, 42, who rode the cab in Barangay Philam on Saturday.

Colis was arrested by police along with three other drug suspects Aaron Almeria, 38; Dennis Morales, 43, and an alias Ramiro, 42.

Eleazar said the suspects were on the drug watchlist.
