Halloween party in style

K KA LANG? - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Opening to much fanfare less than 3 months ago, The Pig & Palm has definitively changed Cebu's dining landscape with their innovative dishes and drinks. Under the direction of Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton, his Cebuana wife Irha, and their critically acclaimed restaurant group, The Social Company, The Pig & Palm is their 15th restaurant worldwide, and has brought a taste of European gastronomy to Cebu.

The Pig & Palm distinguishes itself with its Izakaya and Tapas style of dining whereby customers can select multiple dishes from the contemporary menu while enjoying drinks in a relaxed and trendy environment with friends.

Faithful to its brand of modernity and innovation, The Pig & Palm prides itself on its creative cocktails created by award winning Group Bar Executive for The Social Company, Jamie Jones. (@cocktailhobbit)

The bar list highlights Filipino fruits and flavors blended with British cocktail styles, including the 'Proseccolada,' a mix of pineapple cordial, and coconut rum topped with prosecco, and 'Dill or No Dill,' the group's most popular drink which sells 50,000 a year over 15 global restaurants. 'Dill or No Dill' is a mix of gin, lemon juice, elderflower cordial, cucumber dill, and smoked salt.

In addition, new on the list are wines handpicked by Laure Patry, the group's Sommelier head who has chosen the vineyard of Franck Massard to exclusively bottle the wines for the Pig and Palm. These wines and cocktails can be enjoyed well into the night as opening hours are now extended to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.

On Friday, October the 28th, Halloween cocktails, sweets, and snacks will be served at the bar, shooters will be greeting diners wearing a touch of Halloween, and DJ Divine Maitland-Smith will be spinning.

Diners will get a chance to win an overnight stay for two at the spectacular Kandaya Resort, the ultimate luxury getaway located in Daanbantayan. Runners up get a 3000 bar tab on their return.

Dress up for the 28th, stay on the weekends for drinks, and be sure to get a taste of The Pig & Palm's new menu of delectable dishes. (FREEMAN)
