Woman, 75, dies in Quezon City fire
MANILA, Philippines – A 75-year-old woman died and two others were injured when a fire broke out at a residential area in Quezon City yesterday morning.
Arson probers identified the fatality as Loreta Placer.
Reports said the fire started at Placer’s house in Barangay Bago Bantay before 5 a.m.
A 10-month-old baby and a 14-year-old child suffered minor injuries, city fire marshal Jesus Fernandez said.
Fernandez said the fire left at least seven families homeless.
The blaze reached the fourth alarm before it was put out at around 6 a.m. Damage to property was placed at P200,000.
