Mae Clydyl L. Avila - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - After he was allegedly told to stop his illegal drug activities, a man was shot by a neighbor Thursday in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

Joart Calapini, 30, sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and buttocks after he was shot several times by his neighbor, who was only identified as a certain Remy.

According to Calapini, he was standing outside of the house at Sitio Trinidad at 5:45 p.m. when the suspect, armed with an undetermined caliber of firearm, arrived behind him and without any word shot him repeatedly before fleeing.

Capili asked for help from his neighbors who then rushed him to the nearby hospital.

Joselyn Calapini, mother of the victim, told Homicide Section police that her son was reprimanded by the suspect prior to the shooting incident.

Senior Police Officer 3 Sean Colobio of Punta Police Station said that based on their records, there were two assailants.

Investigation is ongoing to arrest the suspects. (FREEMAN)
