Arraignment ni Col. Marcelino, ipinagpaliban

MANILA, Philippines - Ipinagpaliban ng Manila Regional Trial  Court ang arraignment sa kasong possession of illegal drugs ni  Lt. Colonel Ferdinand Marcelino na isinampa ng Department of Justice.

Nabatid na pinaboran ni Manila RTC  Judge Felicitas Laron-Cacanindin ng Branch 17 ang mosyon ni  PAO chief Atty. Persida Rueda-Acosta na suspindihin ang arraignment bunsod na rin ng ka-walan ng warrant of arrest.

Binigyan din ni Laron-Cacanindin ng 10 araw ang  Department of Justice at  limang araw ang Pubic Attorney’s Office 10  upang isumite ang  kanilang tugon sa reklamo.

Isinampa ng DOJ ang possession of illegal drugs laban kay Marcelino at Chinese na si Yan Yi Shou kaugnay ng pagsalakay sa drug laboratory  noong Enero 21 sa isang condominium sa Binondo, Manila. 

“A Quezon City court already ruled that there was not enough evidence against the two, especially Marcelino on charges of illegal possession of drugs. So, why harass them further,” ani Acosta.

Noong  nakaraang linggo nang isampa ng DOJ ang kasong paglabag sa  Dangerous Drugs Act laban kay Marcelino at Yan, matapos na baligtarin ang kanilang inilabas na resolusyon sa kaso.

Matatandaang si Marcelino ay dating operatiba ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at naging daan upang madiskubre ang ilang  shabu laboratories sa bansa.
