MANILA, Philippines — Siyam na buwang suspensyon ang ipinataw ng Office of the Ombudsman sa president ng Pangasinan State University (PSU).

Base sa 10-pahinang hatol ng Ombudsman, guilty sina PSU President Dexter Buted and PSU-Binmaley campus executive director Marcelo Gutierrez Jr. sa oppression kaugnay ng pagpapatalsik sa isang faculty member.

Nag-ugat ang reklamo matapos tanggalin ni Buted ang isang Ricardo Tapia sa listahan ng empleyado dahil sa “willful disobedience.” Tumanggi umano si Tapia na lumipat mula sa Binmaley campus ng PSU patungo sa Urdaneta campus.

Nalaman na hindi rin pinasweldo umano ni Gutierrez si Tapia bago pa man siya matanggal sa listahan.

Sa kabila nito ay patuloy pa ring pumapasok si Tapia sa trabaho at napatunayan ito sa pamamagitan ng attendance sheets at logbook ng pamantasan.

“Although complainant made it clear that he intends to report for work at PSU-Binmaley pending the resolution of his appeal on the reassignment, the acts of Gutierrez showed his intention to compel complainant to transfer immediately to PSU-Urdaneta,” nakasaad sa hatol.

Hindi pa umano natatanggap ni Buted ang kopya ng hatol kaya tumangging magbigay ng pahayag.
