Biliran province gets P1B outlay for projects

NAVAL, BILIRAN — The Department of Public Works and Highways has allocated more than P1 billion for  infrastructure projects in Biliran province, according to the Biliran District Engineering Office (BDEO).

Engineer David Adongay Jr., BDEO district engineer, said a total of P1,005,730,000 has been earmarked to finance a total of 57 infra projects in Biliran, based on the General Appropriations Act.

From this outlay, P940.7 million worth of projects will be implemented by the BDEO, while the P65 million worth of other projects would be carried out by the DPWH-Region 8 office.

Adongay said 20 projects are under the National Road Network Services; five under the Flood Management Services; one under the Maintenance and Construction Services; and 31more under the Local Infrastructure Program.
