Duterte handang bumaba sa puwesto
MANILA, Philippines — Sa sandaling matuloy ang pagbabago ng porma ng gobyerno sa federalismo ay sinabi ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na handa siyang bumaba sa puwesto.
Ito ang siniguro ni Pangulong Duterte sa kanyang mensahe sa mga Cebuanos sa pakikiramay nito sa yumaong Cardinal Vidal sa Cebu City kamakalawa.
“I’ll try to restructure the setup. The government can’t say that I’m doing it for my interests because I don’t need that. As a matter of fact, if we are able to revise our Constitution, just to avoid conflict, I’m prepared to step down immediately,” paliwanag pa ni Pangulong Duterte matapos magbigay ng huling galang sa burol ni Cardinal Vidal.
Binigyang-diin pa ng Pangulo, kapag naaprubahan na ang pagtatayo ng federalism sa Pilipinas ay hindi na siya mauupong lider ng bansa kundi handa na siyang bumaba sa puwesto.
“It could come maybe next year or the third year. But that’s what I can guarantee you to avoid issue that I’m staying longer in my position as a President. I’m already okay with what God provides me. I do not have any ambition anymore. What else should I ask for? God will ask me, “What else do you want? I gave you everything. In the end, you have nothing,” sabi pa ni Duterte sa harap mismo ng burol ng yumaong Cardinal Vidal.
