Mag-a-adjust si Pacquiao para matuloy ang laban kay Lomachenko

MANILA, Philippines — Para lamang matuloy ang kanilang laban ay maaaring bumaba ng weight division si Manny Pacquiao upang makasagupa si ‘pound-for-pound’ king Vasyl Lomachenko.

Ito ang tiniyak kahapon ni chief trainer Freddie Roach isang araw matapos tanggihan ng kampo ng Ukrainian world super featherweight king ang catchweight fight kay Pacquiao sa Abril.

At kumpara sa 26-anyos na si unified world light welterweight titlist Terence Crawford, mas gusto ni Roach na labanan ng 39-anyos na si Pacquiao ang 29-anyos na si Lomachenko.

“I love the Lomachenko fight,” wika ni Roach sa panayam ng BoxingScene.com. “I like that better because I’ve been hearing so much about Terence Crawford lately.”

“And Terence might be a little bit too young and a little bit too big at this point. But the other way (Lomachenko), I like that fight for Manny. All we need is one tune-up fight, and we’ll go into the Lomachenko fight, no problem,” dagdag pa nito.

Sa isang panayam kamakailan ay ibinunyag ni Pacquiao (59-7-2, 38 KOs) na nakipag-usap sila sa kampo ni Loma-chenko, ang kasalukuyang World Boxing Organization super featherweight king.

Ngunit walang plano ang manager ni Lo-macheno (10-1, 8 KOs) na ilaban ang two-time Olympic Games gold medal winner kay Pacquiao sa welterweight.

Hindi pa lumalaban si Pacquiao matapos matalo kay Jeff Horn (18-0-1, 11 KOs) via unanimous decision na umagaw sa kanya ng suot na WBO welterweight crown noong Hulyo 2 sa Brisbane, Australia.

Nakatakdang itaya ni Horn ang naturang titulo laban kay Crawford (32-0-0, 23 KOs) sa Abril.

At kung sinuman ang mananalo sa naturang laban ang siyang isasagupa ni Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions kay Pacquiao sa Nobyembre.
