Mechanics:

  1. Open to all Filipinos of legal age.
  2. Submissions should be a minimum of 700 words and a maximum of 1,000.
  3. Submissions could be in either English or Tagalog.
  4. Submitted stories should be accompanied by an appropriate photo with a description or a link to a two-minute video.
  5. Submissions should be inspirational and should highlight Filipino values. The subject could be about the Filipino experiences abroad, realizations, and other insights that promote the Filipino culture and identity.
  6. After submission, the philstar.com editorial team will choose submissions whose stories will be published on the site and promoted on the site's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
  7. Authors of the stories agree to have their work edited by philstar.com.

Filipinos bag top awards in reading competition in Brunei
