Mikael and Janine: Perfect combination Ver Paulino
MANILA, Philippines - Mikael Daez and Janine Gutierrez find themselves a good combination as stars of Legally Blind, a Kapuso afternoon suspense-drama series based on stories of women who have been victims of rape.
After it was premiered last Feb. 20, the cast members had received praises for their acting prowess that kept audiences glued to their home screens every afternoon.
“The success of Legally Blind is such a blessing and we’re really thankful for the support of the fans and we assure them that we’ll do our best na mapaganda pa lalo ang bawat episode. We found that really inspiring,” said Mikael. Mikael plays Edward Villareal, the lawyer-boyfriend of Grace (Janine) who will help her search for justice.
Janine, on the other hand, shared, “Got the good news, salamat sa magagandang comments at sa mainit n’yong pagtanggap kahit alam n’yong di talaga kami loveteam ni Mikael. The good thing is we don’t need to pretend that there’s something romantic going on between us.”
Meanwhile, the story promises to be more riveting as the search for true justice shared by Legally Blind director Ricky Davao during the set visit. “Everybody is working so hard for the soap and viewers can expect more dramatic twists. We’re just thankful that we reached beyond this dahil sa pagtanggap ng televiewers.”
Legally Blind also stars Marc Abaya, Lauren Young, Rodjun Cruz, Lucho Ayala, Ashley Rivera, Camille Torres, Therese Malvar and Chanda Romero.
