Well, not obviously in the case of character actor Rez Cortez and his wife, Candy’s daughter, Cai Cortez na mataba na at tabain pa nang sumubok pa sa showbiz gaya ng kanyang dad.

Not only that. Kasal na rin siya sa Tunisian na si Wiseem Rkhami, kung saan mayroon siyang isang anak.

Kasama sila sa cast ng unang pelikula na pinagsasamahan nina Judy Ann Santos at Angelica Panganiban, Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes, directed by Jun Lana.

She plays best friend to the two Mrs. Reyes and was among the first na nakaalam ng sikreto ng kani-kanilang asawa, played by Joross Gamboa and JC de Vera.

Cai said she has yet to even entertain the idea, how probably she would react, well, in real life, she discovers na may iba palang kasarian ang kanyang asawa.

“But I like how direk Jun handled in the movie, the supposed problem ng dalawang Mrs. Reyes.

“And I’m sorry, the moviegoers will like it,” tukoy pa ni Cai.

May isa pang pelikula si Cai na kanya namang pinagbibidahan, ang Ang Taba Ko Kasi, na directed by award-winning and box-office director, Jason Paul Laxamana.

Guess who else is in the cast of Ang Dalang Mrs. Reyes?

Gladys Reyes. Which is why, ang turing daw ni Judy Ann sa pelikula ay reunion movie nila ni Gladys.

Years back, if you recall, nagkasama sila sa ser­yeng Mara Clara na sila ang mga bida.

Mara Clara also served as their first step to where they are now and what has become of them.

Both Judy Ann and Gladys are happily married. Judy Ann to fellow actor and TV host, Ryan Agoncillo and Gladys for fellow former child performer, Christopher Roxas.

Christopher was with them, too, in Mara Clara.

How nice naman, Salve A., of Robin Padilla, when at the presscon of his soon-to-air series, Sana Dalawa Ang Puso Ko, he whispered to his co-star Jodi Sta. Maria, that fellow entertainment columnist, Mercy Lejarde, who was then about to ask a question, was among two people (the other one was the late Deo Fajardo), who had a hand para “makapasok” siya sa showbiz.

Na in-articulate ni Jodi, para marinig ng lahat.

Sadly, nakakalungkot na kakaunti lang sa maraming aktor ang nakakaalala kung saan sila nanggaling at paano sila nagsimula. At kung sino ang kanilang naging gabay to what they have become.

Para bang mortal sin sa kanila na tumanaw ng utang na loob.

Kaya, sa bagay, kahit si Robin, at the presscon admitted na bihira sa mga baguhan ang kahit papaano, magpakita man lang ng galang sa mga nakakatanda sa kanilang artista.

Tulad ng kanyang comeback movie of sorts, Unexpectedly Yours, with Sharon Cuenta, which was a tremendous box-office success, makakatiyak si Robin na magiging hit din among televiewers itong Sana Dalawa Ang Puso Ko.     

Directed by Rory Quintos at Mae Cruz-Alviar, Richard Yap is also in the cast, along with Christopher de Leon, Edgar Mortiz and Alma Moreno, among others.
