Vice, Coco, at Vic tuloy ang pananalasa sa MMFF

Na-pull out na sa maraming sinehan ang ibang pelikula ng Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2017 na hindi tinatao.
Habang nadagdagan naman ang mga sinehan ng Gandarrapiddo, Panday, at Meant to Beh.
Ang tatlong pelikula na pawang mga pambata ang pinipilahan ng mga tao hanggang sa pang-third day ng festival na nagbukas sa mga sinehan nung Pasko.
Dawn at Vic
Ayon sa MMFF Executive Committee mas marami ang dumagsa sa mga sinehan this year kumpara nung 2016 na umabot lang sa halos P380 million at tinaob pa nito ang first day nung 2015 MMFF.
“This year’s Metro Manila Film Festival broke box-office records as it surpassed the 2015 first and second day gross sales. It also tripled the foot traffic to the theaters from last year.
“The big achievement is bringing back our kababayans to the theaters. It took quite some time before we saw this kind of enthusiasm once again from the Filipino viewers,” ayon kay MMFF Execom Chair Tim Orbos.
“From the Parade Of Stars in Muntinlupa to the post Holiday theater tours, people have flocked to the theaters once more to support the all-Filipino film line up that went through grueling screening from an esteemed Selection Committee headed by no less than National Artist Bienvenido Lumbera. Now that we have the audience and the revenues back on track, we are committed to continue making quality productions that would satisfy and enrich our general film audiences,” bahagi pa ng statement ni Noel Ferrer, ang spokesperson ng MMFF.
Humahabol naman ang pelikulang Haunted Forest at All of You.
Samantala, lumalakas ang apela na ‘wag tanggalin sa mga sinehan ang pelikulang Larawan at Deadma Walking. Parehong pinupuri ng mga kritiko ang dalawang pelikula bagama’t napapanood pa ito sa sosyal na sinehan.
