Hindi pala aktibo sa online world si Ian Veneracion. Kaya, wala raw siyang ideya, kung kailan siya bina-bash. O, kung kailan naman siya kinu-compliment, whether as an actor or as a family man.

Basta kilala raw niya ang kanyang sarili. And that’s what matters.

Nang matanong kung may naririnig siyang feedback, maganda man o hindi tungkol sa well-followed series niyang A Love To Last with Bea Alonzo and Iza Calzado, among others, nakangiti, ang maiksing sagot ni Ian: “Oo naman.

Kung sa bagay, the both of them equipped with the expertise, na kailangan sa mga taong gustong umunlad sa negos­yong may kinalaman sa showbiz.

Si Perci ay dating executive ng TV5. Samantalang si Direk Jun naman ay kung ilang taon nang itinuturing na mahusay na director, sa pelikula at telebisyon.

Their The IdeaFirst company started bilang production for films, specifically, na ang major producer at financiers ay iba. But now, they produce their own films na. Na happily not just blockbusters, kung hindi well made pa.

Isa sa pinaka-best example ay ang Paolo Ballesteros starrer na Die Beautiful, na ‘di lang isang blockbuster kung hindi humakot pa ng maraming awards dito at abroad.

Now, with independent films, ayon kina Perci at Direk Jun, making it’s presence felt finally and, well, who knows might turn mainstream in time, it’s the chance, kumbaga, to start moving.

And since, the two both believe, artists are now the stars ng local showbiz, it’s a ‘must’ that fresh talents, both on-screen and off-screen, be given the chance to surface. Para naman maipakita nila sa audience ang bagong hinahanap ng mga tao.

“Even in Hollywood,” ani Perci, in particular, “this is happening. Big production are now assigning new directors na mag-direk ng kanilang pelikula, na top billed din by relative newcomers.

“Kaya, if it can happen in Hollywood, why not dito rin sa atin sa Pilipinas?” saad pa ni Perci.

Thus, aside from producing movies and TV show, The IdeaFirst Company is now into managing talents. And they have quite an impressive roster, dugtong pa ni Perci. Kabilang na si Primo Cruz, whose current film, Ang Manananggal Sa Unit 23B, ay kasali sa ongoing Pista Ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP); Miko Livelo (writer-director); Miko Livelo (writer-director) Ivan Andrew Payawal (writer-director); Dominic Lim (writer-director) at Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, writer-director ng high grossing Alessandra de Rossi-Empoy Marquez starrer na Kita Kita.

Sa mga artista, common knowledge na ang The IdeaFirst Company ang nagbigay ng first break kay Christian Bables via the movie, Die Beautiful.

So far, nakalabas na siya sa isa pang movie, ang Finally Found Someone ng Star Cinema. He was featured recently sa drama anthology na Maalala Mo Kaya (MMK).
