Alice may sinusustentuhang tatlong bata

Nakaka-touch naman, Salve A., ang kuwento ni Alice Dixson tungkol sa orphans ng The Kalipay Orphanage in Bacolod City.

Kalipay, according to Alice, in Visayan, means Bliss or Glee.

It was in December 2016, during her one rare vi­sit to Bacolod, that she got the chance na mapunta sa The Kalipay Orphanage. Sa nabanggit na charitable institution kasi kinunan ang ilang eksena niya sa TV show na Happy Life.

Since Christmas nga at that time, ­Alice, together with the other members of the cast, plus their producer and members of the production staff orga­nized a party for the young ‘residents’ of the place.

They were a playful and cheerful group. Kaya, enjoy sila sa pakikisalamuha sa mga bata.

Hanggang after the party, nang magkaroon sila ng chance na makausap ang mga ito at naitanong, lalo na ni Alice, kung bakit at paano sila napunta sa orphanage.

“I’d say, I was moved and touched by their kuwento,” ani Alice.

Bago lisanin ang orphanage, Alice promised na maging sponsor sa three brothers, aged 5, 9, and 13. The three have immediately endeared themselves to Alice.

Kaya, ang promise niya raw sa orphanage, patuloy niyang ii-sponsor ang tatlong bata, hanggang may good family na ia-adopt sila.

Likewise, she promised the The Kalipay Orphanage to help them in any way she can.

Sa Linggo, August 20, Alice is sponsoring a cha­rity event. Ito ang The Alice Dixson Charity Bow­ling Tournament sa Paengs sa Eastwood. Proceeds of this event will all be donated to the The Kalipay Orphanage.

For this event, Alice had to ask permission from Star Cinema na huwag muna siyang mag-shooting for a movie she is currently doing for them. Titled The Ghost Bride, the film is directed by Chito Roño and co-stars Alice with Kim Chiu and Matteo Guidicelli.

Triplet hindi inililihim ang edad

How time flies, Salve A. Would you believe na ang trio nina Tina Paner, Manilyn Reynes at She­ryl Cruz, na tinaguriang Triplet, yes, minus the letter S., ni Mother Lily Monteverde ng Regal Films, are all now in their 40’s? Yes, ‘di uso sa kanilang tatlo na ilihim ang kani-kanilang edad.

Ayon kay Tina, she turned 46 on her birthday last August 1, Forty-five naman daw si Manilyn. Si Shirley ang youngest sa kanilang tatlo sa edad na 43.

Pare-pareho na rin silang mga ina. Sina Tina at Sheryl ay may teenage daughters, both aged 16.

The two of them are both estranged from their husbands. Isang Spanish guy ang napangasawa ni Tina. Kaya, for a while raw, she and her daughter lived in Barcelona, Spain.

Isang Filipino naman na ipinanganak at resident ng America ang ama ng anak ni Sheryl. Kaya, for sometime rin, namalagi silang mag-ina sa US.

Si Manilyn is happily married pa rin sa kanyang dating fellow Regal baby husband na si Aljon Jimenez. Blessed siya with three kids, the eldest of whom is 21 and a college graduate.

The two younger ones are ages 14 and six years old.

Bagama’t silang tatlo appeared together recently sa katatapos na GMA 7 series na Meant To Be, it’s actually Manilyn who remains active pa rin sa showbiz. She plays wife to Michael V in the Kapuso sitcom, Pepito Manaloto.

Well, ang dapat nating abangan ay ang reunion nina Tina, Manilyn, at Sheryl sa isang concert on September 9 at the Music Museum.

Directed by Frank Mamaril, with Gerry Matias as musical director, the concert of course titled Triplet, will have for special guests the following male Kapuso talents: Ivan Dorshner, Jak Roberto, Addy Raj, and Ken Chan, among others.
