MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is planning to purchase around 500 body cameras to help traffic enforcers deal with erring motorists, an official said on Thursday.
MMDA officer-in-charge Tim Orbos said the cameras would be used by 500 traffic enforcers assigned along EDSA, C-5 Road and Commonwealth Avenue.
The MMDA needs to consult the Metro Manila Council composed of 17 mayors before it can implement the project, Orbos said.
