After 13 years, Nora napatawad na ng Kapamilya

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Sa July pala ng taong kasalukuyan ay aalis si Nora Aunor patungong U.S. to finally submit to an operation, which, she hopes, will restore her singing voice. Yes, the way, it used to.

Meantime, she keeps herself busy with work. Right now, in fact, she is shooting for two films, both meant for release asap (as soon as possible).

This Saturday, featured si Nora in Maalaala mo Kaya (MMK), yes, the drama anthology which for 20 years has been hosted by former ABS-CBN president and CEO, Charo Santos-Concio.

Nora’s appearance in the program marks her comeback na makagawa muli ng projects with the Kapamilya.

Common knowledge na nagkaroon ng hindi pagkakaunawaan sina Nora and the “powers” behind a series she did for the network, Bituin.

But that is now, according to Nora, all water under the bridge.

From Nora, fitting comeback for her ang kuwentong inilaan sa kanya ng MMK, as it is a timely offering for Mother’s day.

The eldest among them had down syndrome. Afflicted naman with cerebral palsy ang pangalawa at pangatlong anak.

Kung paano hinarap ng tauhang ginagampanan ni Nora ang kakaibang pagsubok na ito, na obviously ay hindi hahangarin ng isang ina na mangyari sa kanya, proved a challenge to her, according to the superstar.

Directed by Raz dela Torre, from a story written by Akeem del Rosario, pagsasamahin ng nasabing MMK episode sina Nora at Joel Torre, with whom she first teamed up in a 1997 MMK episode, Retaso.

Pamilya ni Heart nakikikampanya rin

Don’t look now, but bago pa man daw “napansin,” kumbaga ni vice presidentiable Chiz Escudero ang ngayo’y kanya nang better-half na si Heart Evangelista, may kakaibang atraksiyon na si Heart na nararamdaman sa kanya.

“Crush would be the more proper word na naramdaman ko para sa kanya noon.

“This was in 2007. Kaya, batang-bata pa ako ng mga panahong iyon,” dugtong ni Heart, who is in her 30s.

Senator Miriam is a good friend of Heart’s Mom, Cecilia.

“They like him a lot na. Na-realized na nila kasi how good a husband Senator Chiz is to me.”

The Ongpaucos (Heart’s surname) are now even helping Senator Chiz in his campaign.

“So far, so good,” is Heart’s description of Senator Chiz’s chances of winning as vice president.

“I hope and pray he wins talaga,” patuloy ni Heart.

It looks like Alex Gonzaga will no longer retained as one of the hosts of the new season of The Voice Kids, together with Luis Manzano and Robi Domingo.

Hindi binanggit ang kanyang name, nang may nagtanong among the members of the entertainment press during the presscon for Sharon Cuneta, who is now part of the reality show as coach, kasama sina Bamboo at Lea Salonga.

Si Sharon ang nag-take over sa pagiging coach ni Sarah Geronimo.

The Voice Kids will air anytime soon.
