Boyet at Bembol walang arte kahit panahog lang

Chistopher de Leon and Bembol Roco are both playing special roles lang in the GMA 7 new series, Once Again, starring Janine Gutierriez and Aljur Abrenica.

Two of the most revered performers in local showbiz, both Boyet (Christopher’s pet name) and Bembol obviously believe  that there are no small roles for good actors.

May special appearace rin si Boyet sa serye ni Coco Martin sa ABS-CBN, ang Ang Probinsyano.

Alex pangarap maging journalist

Among the younger performers, Salve A., na apparently ay sinegundahan ang paniniwala nina Boyet at Bembol na wala ngang maliliit na role for a good ay si Alex Medina.

Nagbibida na sa pelikula si Alex. Proof is the still showing Echorsis, where he shares star billing with John Lapus at Kean Cipriano.

He plays lover to a gay, performed of course ecffectively by John na bakla sa tunay na buhay.

In his current projects though, Ang Probinsyano at My Super D, parehong maikli ang kanyang role.

Formerly a Communication Arts student in San Beda College, Alex, in an interview once said, that his original dream was to follow his mother’s footsteps as a journalist.

Member of the editorial staff ng isang popular broadsheet ang kanyang ina.

Of course, however he has for a dad the multi-awarded actor Pen Medina. An older brother, Ping, is also in showbiz.

Kaya nga, sabi mismo ni Alex, ‘di kataka-takang, he ended tulad din ng kanyang ama at kapatid na si Ping.

John Lloyd at Jennylyn, matagal nang nagkatikiman

According to John Lloyd Cruz, Salve A., he had no idea na nakatrabaho na niya, much less, naka-kissing scene na torrid ha, si Jennylyn Mercado, who now plays his leading lady in the soon-to-be released Star Cinema movie, Just The 3 of Us.

Jennylyn had to remind him about it. Ito raw ‘yung series na earlier in his career ay pinagtambalan nina John Lloyd at Bea Alonzo, ang Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay.

Actually, ayon kay Jennylyn, she was just an extra in the movie. Pero, kunyari girlfriend siya ni John Lloyd. Hence, the kissing scene between them.

In any case, henceforth, ayon kay Jennylyn dream na niya na makatambal si John Lloyd sa isang project, kung palarin siyang sumikat bilang artista.

“Kaya, when I was offered Just The 3 of Us at binanggit ngang magiging kapareha ko si John Lloyd, ‘di na ako nagpatumpik-tumpik na tanggapin ang pelikula.

“Malaking bonus na si Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina ang namahala ng pelikula,” susog pa ni Jennylyn.

Jennylyn said that she just regrets na kung kailan nagkakakilanlan na sila nang husto ni John Lloyd, saka naman nag-last shooting day ang Just The 3 of Us.

But she will treasure raw the memory of having worked with someone whom she idolizes, sa early part pa man ng kanyang showbiz career.

Pamamahinga tapos na Aga dalawang pelikula agad ang gagawin

Masaya si Charlene Gonzales sa desisyon ng mister na si Aga Muhlach na magpaka-busy ulit bilang aktor.

Aga, sabi ni Charlene, is set to do two films with Star Cinema this year. Well, Charlene keeps her fingers crossed na the plan will not miscarry.

“But according to Aga,” kuwento ni Charlene, “maganda ang naging usapan nila ni Malou (Santos, managing director, Star Cinema). And, from the looks of it, excited siyang humarap muli sa movie cameras.”

Aga’s last film with Star Cinema had him playing lead role to Angel Locsin. His last TV project with ABS-CBN, before he tried his luck with TV5, was a sitcom with AiAi delas Alas and Megan Young, na ang direktor ay si Jeffrey Jeturian.

By the way, Charlene marks her birthday today (May 1).

To celebrate the occasion, she wants lang daw a simple and quiet dinner with Aga, their twins, Atasha and Andres, and her mom, Elvie Gonzales.
