Gov. Vilma mas busy sa pelikula, ayaw paka-stress sa pulitika

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto marks this year (2015) her 53rd year in business.

Siyam na taon pa lang siya noong gumanap na Trudis Liit, ang batang minamaltrato by her step mom, played by the late Bella Flores.

Her two older co-stars in the movie na si Lolita Rodriguez, who now lives in the U.S., and Luis Gonzales, who himself is now in the great beyond.

Henceforth, according to Ate Vi (her pet name among showbiz mainstays), she has never stopped working.

Kung ‘di raw siya busy before the cameras, may show siya sa television, the most memorable of which was her program, VIP (Vilma In Person) kung saan na-display niya ang iba pa niyang talent - ang pagsasayaw.

Actually, nag-lay low lang si Ate Vi sa showbiz when she joined politics. Naging Mayor siya of Lipa City for three terms. It was during her term na naging isang city ang Lipa.

Third term na ni Ate Vi as Batangas Governor. And had she agreed na maging running mate ng Presidentiable na si Mar Roxas, there’s every chance that she will win as Vice President.

But as we all know, she declined the offer. She’s considering the idea instead of running as Congresswoman of the lone district sa Lipa City.

Which likely she will win hands down.

Ganun pa man, what keeps Ate Vi busy, aside from her few remaining months as Batangas Governor is her new movie in a long time, All Of My Life, with Angel Locsin.

The film, directed by Joyce Bernal and produced by Star Cinema, is reportedly earmarked for a November playdate.

Mar puwedeng running mate si Charo Santos-Concio

Speaking of possible Vice President for former DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government) Sec. Mar Roxas, how come the Liberal Party supporters never considered ABS-CBN President and CEO Charo Santos-Concio? Prepared and ideal sana siya for the position.

Asked sa amin ng isang reader ng PM (Pang-Masa).

Oo nga, Salve A.,

Kim at Xian selyado na sa pelikula nina Mayor Herbert at Kris

‘Di na nga pala, Salve A., ang tandem nina Liza Saberano at Enrique Gil ang makakasama nina Kris Aquino at Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista in their first movie team-up, the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, na may bago ring titulo, All You Need Is Pag-ibig (dating Pamilya, Love Love Love).

Selyado nang sina Kim Chiu at Xian Lim ang magiging co-starrer ng dalawa, whose naputol na ‘‘love in progress” might finally ay nagkaroon ng chapter two.

This early, natitiyak naming magiging maganda at entertaining ang movie, since it will be directed by Antoinette Jadaone, whose current series, On The Wings Of Love, starring James Reid at Nadine Lustre, is trending and earning high ratings, dahil sa numerous kilig moments between the two lead stars, bukod sa walang eksena na ‘di ka maa-amuse.

Featured sa All You Need… is Kris’ son, Bimby Yap.

Liza at Enrique may bagong pelikula

Of Liza and Enrique, their second movie team-up after Just The Way You Are na Everyday I Love You is scheduled for release sa October 28.

Produced ito ng Star Cinema at Mae Cruz-Alviar is at the helm.

A new series is also being prepared para sa kanila. Yes, their sound as a team too, after their much-admired teleserye, Forevermore.
