Derek hindi pa rin makalimutan si Angelica!

Nearly three years mula nang mag-break-up sila ni Angelica Panganiban, Derek Ramsay still talks fondly of her.

Of course, we all know now that Angelica is the one and only ni John Lloyd Cruz.

‘‘She seems happy with him. And, I’m glad,’’ ani pa ni Derek. ‘‘I will always wish the best for Angel.

‘‘Matagal at napaka-meaningful ng aming pinagsamahan. I will trea­sure that,’’ susog pa niya.

Derek and Angelica were sweethearts for six years.

How come that after Angelica, ‘di na siya nagkaroon ng matagal na pakikipagrelasyon? Derek was asked during the presscon for his soon-to-be released movie, Trophy Wife, co-starring him with Cristine Reyes, John Estrada, at Heart Evangelista.

With Cristine Reyes, who became his girlfriend after Angelica, nagtagal lang ata sila ng nearly two months.

Natawa, kusang ‘di sinagot ni Derek ang tanong. Basta aniya, one day soon, matatagpuan din niya ang babaeng mamahalin habambuhay.

Of Kris Aquino, who is currently being linked to him, Derek swears friends lang sila. At dahil mabait daw ito sa kanyang pamilya, the entire Ramsay family take to her as a friend din. At vice versa.

Derek at Cristine nasarapan, muntik madala sa kanilang mga ginawa

Of Trophy Wife, it is his third movie with Cristine, as they have already teamed up in No Other Woman at My Secret Affair.

Ganun pa man, tulad ni Cristine, inaamin niya more intimate and intense ang kanilang mga bed scenes sa pelikula.

‘‘As Cristine said, we got carried away, kumbaga, of the scenes lalo’t ’yong mga passionate,’’ aniya. ‘‘Bale ba, mahusay talagang mag-motivate si Direk Andoy (Ranay).’’

As of Heart and John, it’s his first time to work with both of them. And he admires daw their professionalism.

John bantay-sarado ng asawang si Priscilla

Speaking of John, tukso sa kanya ng entertainment press present sa presscon ng Trophy Wife, when he arrived with his beauty queen-wife, the former Priscilla Meirelles from Brazil: ‘‘Gina-guwardiyahan ka ha?’’ biro ng mga ito kay John.

He takes to Priscilla, patuloy ni John, as both his wedded and trophy wife. Achievement daw for him ang ma-win ang pag-ibig ni Priscilla. Lalo’t nang pakasalan siya nito.

They are now parents to a two-year old girl.

First time niya na makatrabaho with all three of his co-stars in Trophy Wife. Bagama’t one time na-link siya kay Heart, which nearly led to a physical quarrel between him and Jericho Rosales, who was then Heart’s boyfriend.

But all of that, John repeatedly said, is a thing of the past na. May-asawa na si Jericho, who got married to his girlfriend of three years, Kim Jones, in Boracay last May.

Si Heart naman appears stable ang relationship with Senator Chiz Escudero.

And, of course siya, no need, aniya, to elaborate or say more regarding his private life.

Professionally right after Trophy Wife, may nakatakda na siyang movie na gagawin anew with Viva Films. Isang horror-suspense naman and based on a best selling book, with Christopher de Leon and Meg Imperial.

Malapit nang mag-end ang series niyang Ikaw Lamang with the Dreamscape Entertainment Production, headed by ABS-CBN Business Unit Head, Deo Edrinal. Hindi na siya kasama sa Book 2.

The series co-stars him for the first time, too, with Coco Martin at Kim Chiu.
