Philracom miyembro na ng IFHA

MANILA, Philippines – Nangyari na ang pi­na­­kaaasam ng Philippine Ra­cing Commission.

Ito ay matapos ibilang ng International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) ang Philracom b­ilang miyembro.

Ikinasiya ng Philracom board members sa pangu­nguna nina chairman Andrew Sanchez, Commis­sio­ner Bienvenido Niles Jr. at executive director And­rew Buencamino ang pag­kakasama ng komis­yon sa IFHA.

Ang Philracom ay kinatawan ni Philracom Com­mis­sioner Rep. Niles sa 50th International Confe­rence of Horseracing Au­tho­rities sa Paris kung saan pormal niyang tinanggap ang pagiging miyembro ng komisyon sa 60-nation IFHA.

“We were officially accepted in their executive council meeting in April of this year, and we had to present to them during this Paris conference facts about the Philracom, how we run our races here, and they were quite impressed,” wika ni Niles.

Ayon pa sa Commissio­ner, ang pagkakapasok ng Philracom sa IFHA membership “will make sure that horseracing in the Philippines is held at the highest level.”

“Race owners are very excited because they know this will open new avenues for them. At the same time, this will ensure that Philip­pine racing will move towards globalization,” paliwanag ni Niles na nagsabi ring ang mga top horses sa Pilipinas ay maaari nang sumali sa mga international races..

Kakailanganin ng Phil­ra­com ang tulong ng IFHA kaugnay sa handicapping (rating) at cataloguing system.
