Pagdarausan ng ASEAN Summit, iwasan -- MPD
MANILA, Philippines - Upang mapangalagaan ang seguridad, nanawagan ang Manila Police District (MPD) sa publiko na hangga’t maaari ay umiwas na lang muna sa mga lugar na pagdadaanan at apektado ng gaganaping 30th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Meetings at iba pang aktibidad simula ngayon, Abril 26.
“We are asking the public, if possible, please avoid the ASEAN venues in this period so as not to inconvenience them and also not to add to our security considerations at the time. If possible, they can go visit the provinces, it’s a very long weekend,” panawagan ni Coronel.
Nakiusap din si Coronel sa publiko na i-report ang mga kahina-hinalang tao, bagay, at aktibidad na makikita nila sa direct line ng MPD na 523-32-01 o kaya’y sa Text Bato 2286 at sa national emergency hotline 911.
Gaganapin ang 30th ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings mula Abril 26 hanggang Abril 29 sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) sa Pasay City.
Tinalaga ang buong Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) complex bilang “ASEAN delegates only” zone sa tatlong-araw na summit doon.
Pinayuhan ni Coronel ang publiko na tignan ang iskedyul ng mga pagpupulong ng ASEAN at mga traffic rerouting at advisories sa official Facebook page “ASEAN 2017” ng ASEAN 2017 Chairmanship in the Philippines.
