The Aivee Clinic, the celebrated flagship clinic of Dr. Aivee Aguilar-Teo, with her husband Dr. Z Teo, got more beautiful with a makeover in time for its eighth anniversary.

The clinic now has more treatment rooms with a new color palette of gray, white and gold. It also has Aivee Cafe that serves healthy snacks and drinks. Add also the new Beauty Bar, which showcases the Aivee skincare line and the Visia Complexion Analysis machine that analyzes the age of the skin. This machine is a useful new technology that helps patients determine which procedures, treatments or products would be most apt for their skin type. The machine also helps in identifying the patient’s most pressing skin concern.

Another addition to the Aivee Clinic at the Fort is the Spa, a private and concealed area for those who seek relaxation. It’s the place for the ultimate pampering while having a facial treatment, whether it’s the Signature Hyaluronic Blue Facial or the Astrolift Intensive Anti-aging Facial. Patients may opt to have laser procedures as well in the renovated treatment rooms.

More people have become aware of the philanthropic endeavors of both Dr. Aivee and Dr. Z through “Beauty Beyond Borders.”  Aivee has her weekly charity clinic at the Las Piñas Doctors Hospital where she attends to indigent patients for free. She also has regular medical missions around the metro. She has also been supporting the Philippine Cancer Society and Real Life Foundation.

The launch of the clinic was somewhat a medical mission in itself, as various works of art (in collaboration with J Studio and Provenance Art Gallery) with the theme #BeautyBeyondBorders were hung on the clinic’s walls and were made available for sale to guests at the event. Proceeds will benefit indigent patients of Aivee’s medical missions.

Food for Thought

Now on its 32nd year, the Negros Trade Fair continues to be the country’s longest-running provincial trade fair held annually in Metro Manila. It presents the best of Negros products and services from the Association of Negros Producers (ANP).

The trade fair will run from Sept. 27 to Oct. 1 at the Glorietta Activity Center, Makati City.

The Negros Trade Fair continues to provide small and medium enterprises of Negros a venue to showcase their individual ingenuity and a platform for possible export trade.

With this year’s theme “Food for Thought,” the trade fair will showcase Negros products such as natural and organic food, garments, fashion accessories, furniture, décor, house ware, agriculture and tourism. Social enterprises have the opportunity to present their products at the fair to support their advocacies and to sustain creativity and provide livelihood for the communities they partner with.

To herald the upcoming trade fair, a luncheon was recently held at the residence of Marina “Nena” Vargas Tantoco at Villa Marina, Sta. Elena Golf and Country Estate in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Tita Nena is a proud Negrense and patron of the Negros Trade Fair. The land on which Villa Marina was built was once a sugarcane field and sugar mill.

We enjoyed a culinary demonstration by Bacolod native chef JP Anglo of Sarsa Kitchen. It was followed by a feast of authentic Ilonggo cuisine by Chicken Sarap’s Katrina Legarde with wonderful chicken inasal and the fantastic rice mixed  with kalkag (dried baby shrimp) and chicken oil to match! A collection of Negros-made products from the ANP was on display as the exhibitors of the Negros Trade Fair had the opportunity to share how their products benefit local communities.

The trade fair is supported by the Province of Negros Occidental with special thanks to Mac Graphics Carranz and SK Lubricants.
