THE PEPPER MILL - Pepper Teehankee - The Philippine Star

All roads led to Solaire Resort & Casino in Parañaque City when luxury brand Louis Vuitton Philippines celebrated the opening of its second store in Manila.

Located at The Shoppes in Solaire Resort & Casino, the new store introduces new product categories such as Men’s ready-to-wear and the Gifting collection to the Philippine market.

At the event, the stylish crowd witnessed a French artisan’s demonstration on exotic crocodile leather Petite Malle, an iconic bag by artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière. And to coincide with the celebration, a unique Filipino icon — the jeepney — was handpainted onto a Louis Vuitton hard-sided Alzer trunk.

The seven-foot motion-activated wall showcasing the Manila skyline was a prelude to the after party, a transformed gallery space where guests moved to after the store visit and enjoyed the beats of DJ Katrina Razon and Australian DJ duo Flight Facilities.

Celebrities spotted at the event clad in Louis Vuitton included Asia’s Next Top Model Season 5 winner Maureen Wroblewitz, Kim Jones, Jericho Rosales, Solenn Heusaff, Janine Gutierrez, Mari Jasmine, Sam Milby, Gabbi Garcia, Nadine Lustre and James Reid.

Since 1854, Louis Vuitton has brought unique designs to the world, combining innovation with style, always aiming for the finest quality. Today, the Maison remains faithful to the spirit of its founder, Louis Vuitton, who invented a genuine “Art of Travel” through luggage, bags and accessories.

(Louis Vuitton is located at the ground floor, The Shoppes, Solaire Resort & Casino, Parañaque City. It is open daily from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
