A new spa in town

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Isis Wellness and Spa, named after the Egyptian goddess Isis, opened at the ground floor of Prince Plaza 1 directly across Greenbelt 5 in Makati City.

The warm and elegant place aims to provide high-quality services including all types of massages, scrubs, aromatherapy and reflexology treatments. More than 20 pure essential oils are available to customize the needs of the spa’s clientele. Facial care is done using Pevonia products, an organic brand featured in some of the best spas in the world.

Every guest is offered the spa’s signature sparkling welcome drink with the essence of ginger, lemongrass and calamansi. Freshly made juice cocktails, tea and homemade tea cakes are complimentary with most treatments.

Owners Merna and Didier Derouet have an impressive experience in caring for guests. Merna, a licensed physiotherapist, spent many years in the Philippines and abroad working for some of the finest spas, including the Grand Hyatt in Dubai. Didier was, until recently, the opening executive pastry chef of Raffles and Fairmont Hotels Makati, having worked in four continents as a chef in some of the best hotels in the world. Together, they created a space where all senses can be treated, from small sweet treats to full spa parties with customized menus.

(Isis Wellness and Spa is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is also available for home service within the area. For inquiries, call 245-4060 or 0921-5728408, e-mail [email protected] or visit www.facebook.com/isiswellnessandspa.)
