Huge crowd awaits Cory convoy at Manila Cathedral

MANILA, Philippines -- Senior Superintendent Rommel Miranda, NCRPO public information officer, estimated that there are around 5,000 people gathered at the Manila Cathedral (around 3 p.m.) waiting for the arrival of the Aquino cortege. This is expected to balloon when the procession arrives at the historic church. 

Meanwhile, family members of the former President started to arrive around 3:30 p.m. Sen. Benigno Aquino III, the only son of the ex-president,  arrived earlier and granted interviews to members of the media. -- Dennis Carcamo
