WATCH: Debate at EU Parliament on Duterte's drug war

Members of the European Parliament read their statements on the Philippines' human rights situation at a debate prior to the voting to adopt a joint resolution condemning killings in President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs.

(Updated 4:28 p.m.) Parts of Thursday's debate in Strasbourg where members of the European Parliament from different countries take a stand on the proposed resolution condemning the killings in the Philippines' campaign against drug crimes and the arrest of Sen. Leila de Lima, the top critic of the Duterte administration.

The resolution was adopted at the plenary session following the debate.
