Roxaco-Vanguard lines up 5 Go Hotels

Catherine Talavera - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The joint venture of Roxaco Land Corp. and Singapore-based Vanguard Hotels Select (Phil) Pte. Ltd. will have five operating Go Hotels before the end of May, a company official said.

In a recent interview, Roxaco Land president and CEO Santiago Elizalde told reporters that Roxaco-Vanguard Hotel Corp. is expected to open its first batch of Go Hotels, which it franchised from Robinsons Land Corp.

They are set to open a branch in Cubao by the end of the month followed by Malate by mid-April and Timog by early May.

At present, RVHC has already two operating Go Hotels, one in Parañaque, along the Manila Airport Road and one in North Edsa, which opened yesterday.

Go Hotels North EDSA offers 167 rooms with twin, queen and connecting rooms.

“All rooms are equipped with safety and security features, hot and cold showers, high quality beds; 100 percent cotton sheets and duvet covers complete with non-allergenic pillows, 32 inch LED TV with cable, and individually controlled air conditioning units,” RVHC said.

Elizalde said RVHC intends to open more Go Hotels after the initial five branches.

“ We wanted to stop at five first and then see what the results are. And if the assessment is positive, then we move forward with another five,” Elizalde said.

The CEO noted that the company has already signed up for 20 Go Hotel properties.

“So we want to do it in blocks of five properties at a time. We already had an agreement with the Robinsons Group,” Elizalde said.

The first five hotels under the joint venture offer nearly a thousand rooms with the Parañaque branch having 199 rooms, Cubao (159 rooms), Timog Avenue (219 rooms), North Edsa (167 rooms) and Ermita, Manila (219 rooms).
