LIVE: House probe into Bilibid drug trade - Day 4

MANILA, Philippines — The members of the House Committee on Justice on Monday morning resumed its hearing into the illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.

The hearing led by the committee's chair, Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali, is set to continue looking into the alleged involvement of Sen. Leila De Lima in the illegal market.

The fourth hearing was initially scheduled last October 7, Friday, but Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said the two injured inmates in the Bilibid riot, Jaybee Sebastian and Vicente Sy, could not yet testify due to health reasons. He, however, said the two inmates would be allowed to testify by Monday.
