MANILA, Philippines — Ordinary Filipinos talk to Philstar.com about what they believe is the real state of the nation ahead of President Benigno Aquino III's final State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Aquino is expected to enumerate his administration's accomplishments the past year in his final SONA. Last year, the president vowed to work on trickle-down or inclusive growth.

He is also seeking to endorse candidates in next year's elections whom he believes will continue the economic reforms made under his watch.
