WATCH: Valerie Weigmann did not expect Miss World PH 2014 win

MANILA, Philippines - Despite being a favorite even before the pageant on Sunday night, Valerie Weigmann said she did not expect to win the Miss World Philippine 2014 crown.

 

The 24-year-old beauty queen—whose showbiz background include being part of GMA-7's “Eat Bulaga,” ABS-CBN's reality show Pinoy Big Brother, and TV5's fantasy series “Kidlat”—bested 25 other contestants to represent the country in the international Miss World competition in December.

"Ako naman, win or lose, it's still the experience that I gained," Valerie told reporters.
