Netizens weigh on dismissal of Arroyo's plunder case
MANILA, Philippines - A tidal wave of reactions from netizens filled the social media platforms as soon as the Supreme Court dismissed the plunder case of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
After nearly four years of hospital arrest, she is now free.
Some netizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the ruling through posting memes of the 69-year-old Pampanga representative while some called the decision of the Supreme Court a "joke."
Pag Arroyo, will abide. Pag PCA and The Hague, "we will study the decision." #Hypocrite https://t.co/TDieuPanCa

Wait, did PGMA really get jailed? She has all the privileges, especially being elected & paid by taxpayer's money. Hi Supreme Court!

I've always liked CGMA & now she's free. Curious how those who hate her but love PDiggy would digest this. SC is not as indie as it seems.

According to The STAR's source, the vote was 11-4 in favor of Arroyo's petition to junk the ruling.
Arroyo was charged with plunder in 2012 for alleged misuse of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office's (PCSO) fund worth P366 million. Arroyo is the second Philippine president to be detained for plunder while former President Joseph Estrada now reelected as Manila mayor was the first one.
