Television has gone stylish and sexy as LG Electronics, a leading player in the global flat panel display market, introduces its new full HD LCD TV, LG Scarlet (model: LG60).

One of the world’s thinnest LCDs at 2.4-inch (45mm) thick, LG Scarlet oozes with style that breaks away from TV design convention. It has a striking red back and uniquely decorated interior, reflecting the latest and most outstanding sense of style.

LG’s personification of the TV is described in four powerful categories, based on the set’s features. The “Dazzling” features include its distinctive red-hued back that veers away from TV design convention of focusing only on the front side.

This striking design is highlighted by a decorative power indicator — a cutout in the lower part of the bezel that serves as a decorative focal point. It is surrounded by red LED lights with soft touch sensor and special sound effect to make turning TV on and off more appealing.

LG Scarlet’s “Exciting” features promise to give viewers an optimal viewing experience. Its advanced full HD TruMotion 100Hz technology, combined with LG’s S-IPS panels that offer increased screen quality, helps further improve picture and eliminate motion blur, even during fast-moving action sequences.

This is complemented by the Invisible Speaker, specially tuned by renowned audio expert Mark Levinson, which has a sleek look while delivering crisp, natural sound quality.

Eliminating traditional speaker drivers and associated grilles, the Invisible Speaker uses minute vibrations of the entire TV cabinet to generate clearer, more natural sounds.

The “Intelligent” features, meanwhile, make watching TV more convenient for viewers. The LG Scarlet has an Intelligent Sensor, which automatically adjusts picture quality and contrast ratio to prevent eye fatigue.

This state-of-the-art feature also decreases energy consumption by as much as 62 percent by reducing unnecessary brightness.

Finally, LG Scarlet boasts of “Extraordinary” features such as the Expert Mode and A/V Hot Key for picture quality tuning.

The A/V Mode optimizes the picture into three special preset modes — Cinema, Sports, and Game — to provide the most suitable image quality and sound for each type of content.

The Expert Mode function allows advanced users to fine-tune pictures at a professional level while the 24 Real Cinema function shows films in their native 24 frames per second, eliminating the judder effect.
