Man wanted for robbery, homicide falls

MANILA, Philippines — A man wanted for robbery and homicide in various courts in Metro Manila was arrested in Cavite before dawn yesterday.

Armed with arrest warrans from different regional trial court branches in Manila, police officers led by Superintendent Arnold Thomas Ibay apprehended Ramon Burayag at his hideout in Sunshine Village, Trece Martirez at around 3 a.m.

Ibay said Burayag is the subject of at least five arrest warrants in Manila for robbery and homicide, robbery with homicide in Pasay and robberies in other cities, including in Bulacan. 

Among the suspect’s victims in Manila were Police Officer 2 Nino Daud Alfonso and businessman Fer Ivan Lim Maximo, he added.

Two .45 caliber pistols, a hand grenade, assorted identification and ATM cards, cell phones, several pieces of jewelry and bunches of keys were seized from Burayag, Ibay said.
