Teen dies in road mishap
LINGAYEN, Philippines — A teenager died while another was injured in separate vehicular accidents in Mabini and Anda towns, both in Pangasinan on Friday.
Daryl Jay Taclan, 15, of Barangay Tambanac, Burgos, was ran over by a Toyota Innova driven by an American missionary, identified as Caleb Pagett, 31.
Taclan and his companion were crossing the road in Barangay Caranglan, Mabini when he figured in the accident.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at the Dasol General Hospital where Pagett rushed him for treatment.
Pagett was reportedly charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide before the office of the provincial prosecutor.
The inquest prosecutor reportedly ordered the police to release Pagett.
Meanwhile, Jose Edora, 46, was taken to a hospital for treatment after his motorcycle collided with a van driven by Michael Steve Camba in Barangay Poblacion, Anda.
