Bus rams electric post; 2 dead

TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan, Philippines — Two persons died while 17 others were injured when a  passenger bus bound for Baguio City rammed an electric post along Marcos Highway in Tuba, Benguet  yesterday.

Bus conductor Joseph Ryan Mesana Lalong and passenger Melba Suarez died at the scene. The injured were taken to the Baguio City General Hospital.

The accident occurred in Sitio Bayacsan, Barangay Taloy Sur at around 1 p.m.

The driver of the Victory Liner bus, Maximino Alday Jr., was arrested.
