2 militiamen hurt in roadside bombing

MAGUINDANAO, Philippines — Two militiamen were wounded in a roadside bombing in Datu Hoffer, Maguindanao yesterday.
Michael Dayo and Freddie Lupos were patrolling the highway in Barangay Labo-Labo with other members of the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit when an improvised explosive device went off.
Local officials have blamed members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, who were tagged in recent bombings in nearby towns, for the incident.
