American nabbed for drugs
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — An American man who is facing drug charges was arrested in Isabela, Basilan on Friday.
Thomas James Papalla, 46, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, was collared in Barangay Aguada at around 6 p.m. He is being held at a custodial facility of the Zamboanga City police.
Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Zamboanga peninsula police spokesperson, said Papalla has a standing warrant of arrest for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Naga Regional Trial Court Branch 27 Judge Leo Intia issued the warrant last Nov. 17.
