MANILA, Philippines — Prepare for cloudy skies and rainshowers on Saturday, according to the state weather bureau.

The northeast monsoon (amihan) will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 4 a.m. advisory.

For its part, the Manila International Airport Authority also on Saturday released a list of canceled domestic flights due to the prevailing weather systems.

Canceled were Cebu Pacific flight 5J 506 from Manila to Tuguegarao and its turnaround flight 5J 505. 

Meanwhile, a low pressure area spotted 715 kilometers east of Surigao City in northern Mindanao at 3 a.m. will cause cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers during thunderstorms in Bicol region, eastern Visayas and Quezon province, PAGASA also reported.
