2 killed in Negros shooting

BACOLOD CITY  , Philippines  —  Two persons were killed while two others were wounded when at least 10 men strafed a house in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental on Saturday.

Angel Bacani and his partner Sofia Dagat were having dinner with two visitors from Mindanao when the attack occurred in Sitio Malaboyokon, Barangay Buenavista, according to a report from the Army’s 79th Infantry Battalion.

Bacani and one of their visitors, whose name was not immediately available, died yesterday from gunshot wounds, the report said.

Dagat and the other visitor were being treated at the Guihulngan City District Hospital.

Police have yet to detemine the motive for the attack.
