2 killed in gun attacks
MANILA, Philippines — Motorcycle-riding men shot dead two persons in La Union and Zambales on Sunday.
Mila San Juan, an administrative officer of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, was standing along the highway in Barangay Paringao, Bauang, La Union before 7 p.m. when she was shot several times.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at the Ilocos Training Regional Medical Center.
Chief Inspector Joel Lagto, Bauang police chief, said they are pursuing several leads in the killing.
Billy Joel Marang, 29, was riding his motorcycle in Barangay Calapacua, Subic when he was shot.
Four other persons were wounded in gun attacks in Pampanga and Bataan also on Sunday.
Roniel Quinao, 34, was shot in Barangay Anunas, Angeles.
Danilo Candelaria, 35; Norlyn Crasko, 34, and Glenda Salamat were drinking liquor in Barangay Dalao, Dinalupihan when they were fired at.
The victims were taken to two hospitals for treatment.
