4 slain in Negros family feud

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Four persons, including a minor, were killed when members of a family clashed in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatalities as Ernesto Royo, his nephew Kerwin, Royo’s cousin James Labiga and John Michael Mirano, 5.

The incident started on Tuesday night when Kerwin reportedly confronted Labiga during a drinking spree in Barangay 1 Poblacion. Kerwin was stabbed dead during the altercation.

Early Wednesday, Royo and his nephew Fritz pursued Labiga at the house of a certain Michael Mirano and attacked their relative.

Labiga and Royo suffered multiple stab and gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead on arrival in a hospital.

 John Michael, a son of Mirano, was hit by a stray bullet and died at the scene.

Fritz was wounded and confined in a hospital.
