Prosecutor shot dead

MANILA, Philippines — An assistant provincial prosecutor in Quezon was shot dead by motorcycle-riding men in Infanta town yesterday afternoon.

Reymund Luna of Regional Trial Court Branch 65 was walking in Barangay Tongohin when he was killed at past noon. He died at the scene from gunshots to the head and body, police said.

The Department of Justice ordered the National Bureau of Investigation to probe the killing.

Luna was the sixth prosecutor to be killed under the Duterte administration.
