No plane crash
MANILA, Philippines — A plane that was reported to have crashed in the waters off Romblon yesterday morning might have been a drone, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said yesterday.
This developed as the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said no plane crash occurred anywhere in the country, and that all planes have been accounted for.
The PCG station in Romblon earlier received a report that a five-seater plane was seen falling into the waters off the coastal town of San Agustin.
Another report said a team from the military, police and CAAP were deployed in the area to investigate the incident.
