Cop electrocuted

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A police officer was electro-cuted as he was fixing the power connection at his home in this city on Saturday.

Senior Police Officer 2 Edwin Nono, 43, was declared dead on arrival in a nearby hospital, where his relatives rushed him for treatment.

Nono was on the roof of their house in Barangay Pasonanca when a live wire touched the galvanized iron sheet at around 4:30 p.m., according to Senior Inspector Edwin Duco, spokesman for the city police.
