2 dead in Ilocos, P’sinan road mishaps
MANILA, Philippines — A tricycle driver died while two of his passengers were seriously injured when their vehicle collided with a passenger jeepney in Barangay Suysuyan, Lidlidda, Ilocos Sur before midnight on Friday.
Johnny Rosendo Jr. was pronounced dead on arrival at the Candon City Hospital, where Christopher Peralta and Daryl Carlos were also taken for treatment.
The jeepney driver, Reymond Eusebio, 31, surrendered to responding policemen.
In Pangasinan, John Jovet de la Cruz, 20, died and 11 others were injured when a 10-wheeler truck collided with a passenger bus along Romulo Highway in Barangay Quetegan, Mangatarem town also on Friday.
Due to the impact of the collision, the bus rolled over and hit four motorcycles parked along the shoulder.
